Cara Davis-Costumes
About Me
Hello there! My name is Cara Davis and I am a Costume Designer and Artist. Originally from Westchester County, I am currently completing my Bachelor of Arts in Theatre Arts with a concentration in Theatre Design at SUNY New Paltz, along with a minor in Film and Video Studies. While at New Paltz, I have branched out into several areas of Costuming, including Wardrobe, Craftwork and Millinery. My lifelong loves for design and creative storytelling have fueled my artistic belief that all stories, no matter the size or scale, deserve to be told and cherished.
My New Paltz credits include Into the Woods, The Servant of Two Masters, Henry V, and the pandemic-affected production of Spring Awakening, where I served as Costume Designer. My outside professional credits include jobs in Wardrobe for Muhlenberg Summer Theatre and the Hudson Valley Shakespeare Festival.
When I'm not helping create stories, I can typically be found working on my latest embroidery project, listening to true crime podcasts, or finding new sources of inspiration wherever they may take me.
